Fall colors and The Shadow of the Bear in full swing in Cashiers and Highland, NC

Wow, We are having another spectacular fall season!  I just took a nice hike yesterday and the leaves are still beautiful and many green ones left which means the color should last a few more weeks!  The weather has also been perfect for hiking, apple picking or just meandering drives!

This has to be one of my favorite of all the seasons.  Cool mornings and nights give way to warm days. The inn has been very busy and our guests are enjoying our fall decorations:

Just had to share with you this cute photo of us decorating the sign.  Our daughter, Elizabeth is gone for one year on a missions trip around the world.  We made a cardboard cutout of her and are taking photos throughout the year of her doing the things she would normally be doing here with us!  So…here is a photo of me along with “flat Elizabeth”!

This was taken yesterday on a hike with friends and my daughter Mary:

There have been many sightings of “The Bear” this fall.  Be sure to come see this:The Bear
